A 3-bone rib roast (prime rib) is a large, impressive, cut, typically weighing around 6 pounds. Perfect for roasting, low and slow, then searing, or using a high-heat start followed by a lower heat. Always check with a meat thermometer to reach your desired doneness (120–125°F for medium – rare). It is best to let your rib roast rest for 15–20 minutes after cooking.


Key steps:

  • Season well with our signature Herb-Crusted Prime Rib Rub or use some salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs
  • Bring to room temperature
  • Use high-heat initially (450°F) then lower to (325°F), cook the temp, then rest 15-20 minutes

Rest assured, our family will hand-pick the package closest to your chosen weight—and the final price will always be lower (or the same) once we weigh it at during fulfillment. You’ll only ever be charged the accurate, final amount, which will be less than or equal to what was originally authorized. 😊
